The meeting was held in Chicago during the 100th Anniversary Convention on Tuesday June 21, 2005 at 2:00PM CDT.

79 members were in attendance; Chairperson Marion Bunch made comments regarding operations of RFFA during Rotary Year 2004-05. Many of the comments have been reported to the membership by E-Mail throughout the year.

PRID. David Roper brought us up to date on the recent RI Board of Directors decision
To restrict Fellowships to those groups who unite themselves to pursue a vocational or recreational activity. All other groups such as ours (RFFA) will if they choose to become Rotary Action Groups and drop the name Fellowship from their names.

A name change resolution will be voted on by the Board of Directors of RFFA to change the official name to. Rotarians For Fighting AIDS, Inc. still RFFA.

Marion acknowledged Barry Smith, Executive Secretary and his wife Vivian for all the work they do for RFFA. Marion also thanked PRID’s Jim Shamblin and David Roper for their help and counsel.

There was a question and answer period and many people had great questions that prompted discussions.

Marion asked for anybody who could help us with a redesign of the web site, 3 members came forward and discussions were held with each of them separately and jointly, ideas for improvement were discussed. You will see great improvements in the next few weeks as John Paul and Chip Carman from the Nevada City CA Rotary Club come up with new designs.

The meeting closed at 3:30 PM CDT
