The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation recently met with Marion Bunch and Dr. Mark Ottenweller (partners in the ANCHOR program); and they have agreed to provide US$1 Million in funds to support the scale up of the ANCHOR program in the African countries of Zimbabwe and Mozambique for a period of two years. Final definition to the agreement is being put in place at this time. Marion Bunch, Chair of RFFA, said "The country of Zimbabwe is one of the African nations that does not fall under the PEPFAR funding initiative provided by the U.S. Government, so we are particularly pleased to find funds for this country which otherwise is overlooked."
